ANÁLISE HISTOPATOLÓGICA DA CÁPSULA E EPITÉLIO ODONTOGÊNICO NO TUMOR ODONTOGÊNICO CERATOCÍSTICO SUBMETIDOS A DESCOMPRESSÃO CIRÚRGICA: SÉRIE DE CASOS

Resumo


As lesões císticas dos maxilares de grandes dimensões podem ser tratadas através da descompressão cirúrgica e enucleação. Possíveis alterações histopatológicas do revestimento epitelial e da cápsula fibrosa têm sido relatadas após essa abordagem. Objetivo: Avaliar as alterações histopatológicas do revestimento epitelial e da cápsula fibrosa do Tumor Odontogênico Ceratocístico, antes e após a descompressão. Metodologia: O estudo consiste em uma série de casos. Utilizaram- se dados de prontuários e lâminas histopatológicas das lesões císticas submetidas à descompressão cirúrgica de pacientes atendidos na disciplina de Cirurgia Bucomaxilofacial II e Núcleo de Diagnóstico Bucal da UFES, entre Julho/2010 e Julho/2016. Foram obtidos os dados clínicos e demográficos dos pacientes, bem como as alterações histopatológicas do revestimento epitelial e da cápsula fibrosa de cistos submetidos a descompressão cirúrgica. Resultados: Houve concordância entre diagnóstico final e inicial em todas as lesões. Ocorreu o desenvolvimento de inflamação intensa, a distribuição da inflamação de forma difusa, localização do infiltrado inflamatório subepitelial, justaepitelial e perivascular após descompressão. Conclusão: A descompressão cirúrgica provoca o aumento na intensidade da inflamação da cápsula e mostra uma tendência para o aumento da espessura do revestimento epitelial, sem alteração do diagnóstico histopatológico final.
